Galvanized Steel (abbreviated as GI) is a type of steel with a surface coated with a layer of zinc to protect it from corrosion. The galvanization process is typically carried out by placing the steel sheet into a container of hot zinc solution or through the electroplating process.

The zinc coating creates a corrosion-resistant layer, shielding the steel from the effects of water and air, thereby increasing the longevity and corrosion resistance of the steel product.

Galvanized steel is widely used in the automotive industry for components such as car doors, car floors, hood caps, and bus bodies. In the household sector, it is utilized for refrigerator bodies, air conditioner casings, washing machine bodies, and microwave oven casings. In the construction industry, galvanized steel finds applications in roofing sheets, door frames, roller doors, trusses, and structural components.
